Everywhere we turn, the world seems to groan with pain. Wars leave children without parents, natural disasters destroy whole communities, and violence strikes without warning. News headlines remind us daily that evil is real and suffering is everywhere. In moments like these, even the strongest believer may cry out: “Why, God? Why would You allow such things?”

That haunting question is not new. It echoes through Scripture, whispered by Job in his suffering and shouted by David in the Psalms. It is the question that countless Christians — and seekers — wrestle with when life collapses around them. I know the weight of that question, and I know how difficult it can be to find hope when life hurts.

This book was born out of that struggle. My purpose is not to give easy answers, because there are none. Instead, my desire is to point you toward the God who has not abandoned us — the God who entered our suffering through His Son, Jesus Christ. In Him, we discover that even in our darkest nights, there is light.

As you read these pages, I pray you will find not only comfort but also courage. You may not find all the “whys,” but you can discover the deeper truth: that God is with us, even in the valley of sorrow.
