Who's There? is a collection of three of Edgar Allan Poe's tales which take us into the evil and selfish minds of madmen.
Teachers and students of American literature, as well as people who are new to the writings of Poe and even old fans, will find the text enriched and clarified by the audio, giving one a deeper understanding of this master's brilliant writing. This is much more than just another republishing of Poe's tales. It is a total experience. If you are new to immersive reading, this is a great place to start. The three short stories included here are:
- "The Tell-Tale Heart"
- "The Cask of Amontillado"
- "The Black Cat"
Once you finish them, you will know Who's There? (a line from "The Tell-Tale Heart"). What's great about the works of Poe is they are a narrator's dream, and I believe he had the spoken word in mind when writing many of his stories. So if you choose to just listen, or read and listen, each experience has it's own rewards. I hope you enjoy the journey you are about to take!
