He joined a local militia during the American Revolution, rose to the rank of major general, and became the chief aide to General George Washington. After the war he became the first US secretary of the Treasury. He founded the Bank of New York and the New York Post newspaper.

Big hit with my son; wonderful series
My 14 year old has loved this series since he was 9 or so. He still enjoys listening to new titles, and especially this one on a topic that has always interested him.
These "who was" books are always well written for the age group, and well narrated. This one would also appeal to any elementary or middle school age fan of Star Wars, even if they don't usually listen to biographies.
