Be prepared to have a long look in the mirror… AMAZING.
Wow. I literally don’t know where to start.
As a mum I wanted at first to hate her… how dare she feel this way??? She has kids, they need her, where are her priorities??? But then I realised why I felt so passionate. She is me. Or rather she WAS me.
It’s like listening to this was listening to my journey. The struggles, the exhaustion, the heartache to JUST be myself, to have just one moment to just be me, the running away (although I never did… not quite) and then the realisation that all I needed was time to be me.
For any mummy in anytime, but more so now in THIS time of post pandemic chaos; this is for you. You are not alone…
This book touched a nerve, touched my heart and it resonated SO much with me; the characters could BE my family… We are also a family of 5.
Beautiful, heartbreaking, raw writing. That really peels back what it’s like to be a mum. To lose yourself then find yourself all over again.
Outstanding narration that keeps you hooked from start to end - every nuance, every hushed breath, every pained emotion comes through….
Truly wonderful. I can’t wait to find out what happens next; I feel there should be more to come. Or maybe here’s where the story ends… either way, it’s beautiful ❤️
