Acerca de esta escucha
Who Do I Belong To? is a book about the experiences of a young boy who was born into chaotic love. Embraced by the fairytale of loving family members awaiting his arrival while simultaneously being thrust into the drug war zone of heroin addiction before he could even open his eyes. The same loving family forced to decide between life and the deadly perils of addiction before he could even be swaddled correctly set the tone for what was to come.
Who Do I Belong To? tells the tale of both mother and child as they both experienced their challenges. His leading from his grandparents' home into foster care and hers leading from being a victim of rape, the unpredictability of street life, and the doldrums of prison. Who knew that the power of words, poetry, hip-hop, art and the prayers of family and ancestors would grant each of them their pathways to survival and self-discovery. Not even death can slow down growth.

A collective work of VIVID word art on every page
The creativity and flow did nothing but paint imagery and imagination and its only the mind of a genius of how this book was put together. From his words, his art, his moms poetry and his unique story telling. The book was captivating and not easy to put down. I loved it and am going to order a hard copy now. There were just a lot o deep thoughts that I would love to ponder and think about that this word genius gave so much that to read the book one time would be a miss of so much content. Thank you Razi for opening up and sharing this amazing story that should give no one an excuse ever to say that my past defines who I am. When you realize you have a special force inside of you no one can take it away. You loose it by giving it away in self defeat. Well said about the relay race. That was my favorite metaphor but there were a ton in this book. I am so excited to find out what comes next. Hopefully a movie!!!!
