If I’m not a human, who am I?

When Nathan Walker begins his first year at Mist Valley University, he hardly expects to encounter a stranger who claims to be his brother—much less a brother who died years ago. And as if a resurrected brother wouldn’t be enough, Nathan soon finds himself investigating murders that are connected to his family’s dark history.

Nathan doesn’t believe in love. And perhaps he shouldn’t. But when more strangers arrive in Mist Valley, one thing is clear: To stay alive, Nathan needs to believe in werewolves.

Well-known for its unexpected twists, Jay Argent’s entertaining storytelling takes readers on a fantasy ride that they will never want to end.

This is an unusual book. Being boy on boy romance that alone makes it rare. Although the dialogue between the hero and his dorm mate feels like this is a ( child safe ) anime. Strangely, there’s this easy hike from the real world campus on into deeper dark exotic woods. The lead character is likable and never uses feminine or crass gay slang. I guess this is a cleaned up Y-reader book. Our hero’s infatuation with his dorm roommate does take us into romance novel territory. Very entertaining and I enjoyed it more than most gay romance novels which are written much worse. Anyways, our hero and his gay crush generate all this heat tween them that was slowly built up & up and…nothing. I was disappointed by the great big romantic scene at the end because they don’t “do it”. That’s a mighty long cock tease. Not sure I can recommend it.

That was a long adventure, but for what?

I am glad I gave this a try because this is truly a good story. I genuinely wish it had an actual human narrator to help with the portraying of the individuality of the characters and their emotions.

Great storyline
