Confusion

I REALLY want to put 5 star because I love the characters BUT it's hard when the same character from first book is single again? I love book 1 so when read book 2 I THOUGHT that when mentioned it would be a continuance, instead Jeff is mentioned but as a ladies man, what happened to Alicia?! To confusing won't be reading 3.
