As a GenX exec myself, I read this book with curiosity - how different would this advice be compared to so many other books for young professionals? It exceeded my expectations. The author’s casual but polished tone, fresh perspectives on the changing tides of the workforce, relatable examples of millennial leadership in action, and unabashedly candid and commentary on politics, liberal values and real life business challenges made me appreciate this book as a peer-to-peer guidebook for young people starting on their leadership path. I wish I had this perspective as a young woman and working mom years ago… and while there are no “breakthrough” insights here, the basic ideas have me more insight to how millennials and GenZ view work and life.
