Love love love! The heartbreak was so real!!!

Oh the angst and heartbreak! I cried so many times! Not the ugly sobbing kind.... but there were a lot of tears! This is a story about Gabby and Dylan..... or is it? Could it be about Gabby and Slater? Well I won't spoil it.... but it was one of those stories that sucks you and and will not let you go! I feel like this review is so difficult to write because I don't want to give a lot away! But Gabby has know both men since she was a child. Dylan was her best friend.... Slater was her brother's best friend. All I kept thinking so many times was "why is Slater so freaking swoony!!!" But I will not lie, both men pissed me off a good few times! Gabby had some tough choices to make. And some of them were bound to break hearts.

I very much enjoyed this book.... as I was listening I was taking notes on my feeling about it.... and there were 3 whole pages!!! I had a lot of thoughts and feelings! The amount of times I had to pause the audio to write down my feelings was just unreal.... and I was listening at work! So I was supposed to be working!!!

The narration was great! I do wish that we had a bit more of Wen to listen to, but that can't be helped with the POV being mostly from Gabby. I definitely recommend this book to people who like love triangles, brother's best friend and angsty AF books!

Beautiful narration

Stories like this are the reason why Siobhan Davis is one of my favorite authors- an author so versatile that she can write all genres, all tropes, from gritty reverse harem and high drama mafia to the ultra angsty, heartaching, soul tearing love stories. And oh my is this the latter. When Forever Changes is a story that squeezes the heart so exquisitely, you may never breathe the same again. The anguish, the heartache, the swoon, the hope, and oh yes, some ugly crying- it’s a story beautiful in its turmoil, effortlessly emotive and entirely consuming.

I won’t say much about the plot because I don’t want to spoil anything, but hang on for a wildly emotional narrative. Second chances, best friends to lovers, love triangles, drama, past and present challenges- there’s so much complexity. Like love itself, Siobhan weaves a story that is full of contrasts. Beauty and pain, turmoil and authenticity, devastation and hope. Sioban chronicles the highs and lows of living and loving through these complicated by dynamic characters, who are also just learning to grow up, who are figuring out living and loving in so many heart-hurting ways. As usual, Siobhan captures our hearts with these characters, and with the right dash of foreshadowing and tonal foreboding we just know twists and heartaches are coming. And come they do. You’ll scream, you’ll cry, you’ll love and be frustrated by these characters in equal measure. But like always Siobhan’s creative brilliance brings us exactly where we were meant to be- each moment, each world, each feeling perfectly placed for just the right reason. But hold on to your hearts, this is NOT an easy love story- and one that had blasted tears running down my face multiple times before I turned the last page. And these characters, well each and everyone one will stay with you. Especially our heroine Gabby, my love for her lasted through every up and down, through all the mistakes, frustrations, and healing.

This story will break your heart- so may times. But trust in Siobhan to piece it back together in the end. The emotional gauntlet is worth every agonizing moment- because even with a fractured heart, love is what shines in the end.

The vocal performances are great- especially Sarah Puckett. She's one of my favorite narrators, she always bring such a powerful ethos to her characters, and she really captures all of the heart and compassion and emotion of Gabby. I loved the range of the performances, both bringing these characters and the heart of this story to life.

Fantastic

I have so many words for this book and to be able to hear it with these two amazing narrators was just icing on the cake. I read this book a long time ago. It was one of my first by the author. So reliving the connection the heartbreak and the love all over again was more than I ever expected.

Beautiful, Emotional

This is must read/listen. It’s a beautiful, emotional love story. You will need tissues. This author is amazing and talented and I would recommend reading any of her books

another book that made me cry!!! the narration was perfect also love it all!! really made Me cry this author never disappoints!

Emotional roller coaster

This book had me all in my feels. There’s only one other book (Darling Venom) that made me cry but this book had me bawling. I easily guessed what was going on with Dylan by chapter 2 but didn’t know the extent of it. Slate was a dream. Such a big heart. I’m so happy this had a happy ending after all the crying I did.

So this is really sad but hang in there!!! It’s worth it I promise! I cried the whole book sad but also so SO happy!!!

Beautiful and EPIC!

I almost passed on this book but gave it a chance because I loved other stories by Siobhan Davis! I am so glad I took a chance on this one. There were some reviews that had me wavering because they said the characters were unlikable, I, however, found them all to likable once the storyline was established.
This story was tragic and beautiful at the same time. These threads are so delicately woven together, that at the end a story of how love can transform even the most dire of circumstances into something beautiful and amazing.
I do agree with many other readers, in that Slater is my favorite character. He exhibited such a true and pure love that it was painful. He was noble and the epitome of a man you would want to love you and father your children. His love is the sturdy foundation that this entire storyline is established upon. Without his capacity for love this story could not have developed!
In my opinion, this is the best story I have read in the last year—I did not want it to end!
It is worth the credit and I highly recommend When Forever Changes if you want a story that shatters your heart and rebuilds it stronger than it was before!

Make sure you have tissues handy for this one you guys!! Ugh my heart! I felt every emotion while listening to this book, I swear!!

I dont wanna give anything away, you just need to listen to this audiobook!! Sarah and Wen did such an amazing job bringing this story to life, and Siobhan always blows me away with her book!!

I feel like I’ve been through the ringer!

First off, I usually at least scan a few reviews before diving into a story (even if it’s an author I typically love). I saw an extremely popular review for this book (on kindle) that really shed a negative light on the story. Because of it, I almost didn’t take a chance on this one. Almost. Secondly, mild spoiler but this is something I like to know from the outset…cheating takes place pretty early on and that’s honestly typically a deal breaker for me. I can’t stand that mess in my romance novels. However, I felt that there was more than meets the eye and decided to keep going…and I’m sure glad I did. This was a beautiful, emotional, sometimes heartbreaking read/listen but it was worth every frustration and tear shed. Without disclosing any major spoilers, I did take issue with the two year gap that takes place as well as the way Gabby handled things with Slater. As much as I disliked these elements, the story wasn’t ruined for me. I would encourage you to take a chance, keep an open mind and allow yourself to take the story for what it is and embrace the characters in spite of their shortcomings. I truly can’t imagine what it would be like to find myself in a similar situation but my empathy reigned supreme and I was able to move past some irritations. Good narration although I would have loved more from the male POV (male narrator narrated 3 chapters if I remember correctly). Heartfelt storyline….amazing conclusion (last 10% or so…not to say the rest wasn’t a great story…but I felt like I could breath again). I’m excited for Ryan’s story in book two…and although it’s probably not going to happen, I would also love for Austin to get his own book. In the brief peeks of him this story provides, I’m pretty much swooning (just me, who knows?!!!) Yes, I would recommend.
