Whatever the Cost

The war that the world had hoped to avoid has begun.

Everywhere there is chaos. Hitler’s armies now control Europe. In one fell swoop Germany has changed the face of the continent and now only the British people remain free. In Spain, Franco considers joining the conflict. In the Far East, Japan’s war on China is about to take a different turn. And Stalin’s war on Finland has met with utter defeat for the Red Army, leaving many wondering about another purge in Russia.

Now comes the next stage.

While Hitler ties together an alliance that will secure his nation’s supremacy he also prepares for a seaborne invasion of the British Isles. Japan makes a crucial decision concerning its own plans. While the war is bad enough, now there are whispers of something even worse. Rumors of camps being built where millions of people are being sent to. While entire populations fight to survive, most Americans are completely oblivious to the suffering. It’s just not their fight. But there are some who see a fight coming and are doing everything they can to get ready for one.
