The only reason Lorelei Mills has agreed to attend the Murder Mystery Weekend at the Lodge at Confluence is because her therapist said it will help stop the nightmares. According to the doctor, memories of her childhood at the hotel after her mother died will remain blocked until she confronts her past. Lorelei meets another reluctant sleuth, Max Keystone, at the orientation party, and they agree to partner up to solve the contrived murder.
