Acerca de esta escucha

Among enthusiastic Christians, controversy often arises. Should true Christians celebrate Christmas?

First, there is the issue of the date.

Some accuse the date of being pagan in origin. We do not know the exact date Jesus was born, and perhaps God didn't want us to know so we wouldn't make too much of it.

"It's not the baby on the manger," they would say, "but the Saviour on the Cross that is important."

Second is the issue of Santa Claus

I recently heard a man say that the damnable doctrine of the Nicolaitans was the celebration of Christmas and that the name "Saint Nicolas" comes from the term.

Many messages have been preached with a title similar to “Satan Claus,” and we are reminded that Santa and Satan have the very same letters in each.

Is it a sin to watch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? And are we damaging our children spiritually by doing so?

Third, is the issue of the Christmas tree?

Is this really forbidden in Jeremiah?

Finally, is Christmas too commercial, and should we ban its celebration in protest?

I propose to attempt to confront these and some other objections head-on and provide the reader with answers to those who ask us questions concerning their observance of the holiday.

Questions addressed are:
  • What About Christmas?
  • What About Santa Claus?
  • What About the Christmas Tree?
  • What About December 25th?
These questions are answered from a Biblical and historical perspective.
