An Interesting Tale

I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for a honest review.
I liked the story and found the characters interesting. Phael is a young girl who is tasked to do a certain job. When she skimps on her duty a shark washes up on shore and she finds a shark-ling inside. A live creature that mystifies her. Mako does not have a sweet nature but she must find a way to help her out. The narrator has a good range of voices.

A weird and wonderful fairy tale

Phehl is the protector of her atoll, maintaining the peace and prosperity of her people. But she earned her position by cheating and fears that one day, she will be caught. However, when a trader and a girl who claims to be a shark show up on her beach, she is led on a journey that proves she is not the only one on her island with secrets.

Told in a very imaginative fashion, as if a (dark) fairy tale, the author introduces us to a fun world that is unlike those of traditional fantasy.

Unique story and characters!

I enjoyed this story and the characters! Phell and Mako were very interesting characters and I look forward to reading more about them. The weapons in this story also had characteristics that made them just as interesting as the people in the story. I liked the narration especially for the tales and songs because Lynsey had a pleasant song voice. I would definitely be interested in reading more!

Can't wait for the sequel!

Loved this fantasy novel! The world was rich and well developed. The characters were likeable and leapt off the "page." The story sucked me in, and I found myself whisked away on an adventure I couldn't put down. I definitely recommend this book, and I am eager for the sequel to be published.
