Welcome to the Jungle—The Curse of Clark, Texas is a true-crime thriller based on real, actual events. While certain characters, names, incidents, locations, and dialogue have been fictionalized for dramatic effect—what has not been fictionalized is that in 1980-something, tragedy struck one of the most affluent high-schools in the state of Texas. Was Tom C. Clark High School in San Antonio, Texas cursed?
This book explores the possible murder of two innocent teens, countless others committing suicide, lives lost in horrible accidents, bodies wrecked by head-on-collisions, a teen who tackled Mexico’s feared drug cartels plus the FBI, and a string of scandalous teacher-student affairs that destroyed the lives of all involved.
It wasn’t all murder and mayhem in a place called Clark, Texas. Anyone who made it through the dark, dense jungle of high school in 1980-something experienced: Friday night lights, first loves, the most majestic music decade ever, an iconic movie era, beer bongs, bonfires, and the never-ending party that consumed us all during those influential years. Forgotten memories and new revelations
Loved this book. Brought me back to my days in Clark, TX. The 80’s that it covered was slightly before me, but I still remember some of it. Brought back good memories of warm nights at football games, tailgate parties and some favorite places. Not really the group I would have hung out with or been accepted into, but brought back memories of my group of friends. Thank you for the walk down memory lane.
