I love the lighthearted, funny parts of the story. The Characters are well defined and the mystery is easy to follow along with. Love this series

The circus has come to town!

You know that Loveta and Sue Jan are going to be in the middle of things when there's murderous activity, and it's no different when "a circus" comes to their little town. Things are a little more complicated for them this go-round, because their both pregnant. They still give it their darndest to figure who the bad guy or gal is.
If you love cozy mysteries, you will love Weighty Matters by Linda Kozar and narrated by Michelle Babb. The books in this series that I've listened to have all been very entertaining.They are laugh out loud funny. The narration makes them even better. This one was full of puns that at times took me by surprise. There was a character named Pickle that provided the basis for many. Hope you find this revue helpful--it was really no big dill. Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Breth of fresh air

Sue Jan and a very pregnant Lovita are just as excited when the traveling circus comes to town but they become even more excited when someone takes a shot at the height challenged ring leader. When other circus folk start dying Sue Jan and Lovita are on the job, they are also interested in the big foot sightings near town, because all this action is bringing a lot of press to town and not all of it good.
It is always fun to visit the Crown of Glory girls in Wachita Texas and find out all the gossip of what is going on. These books always make me smile and laugh. Narrator Michelle Babb makes these books so much fun with all her voices for the characters. These books are a breath of fresh air after a hard day.

Crazy good!

Another fun mystery from the beauty salon in Texas. Each one is as funny as can be, and the investigation by two great friends is always enjoyable, never disappointing. See publisher's blurb for plot clues, no spoilers here. Just be prepared to be amazed by all the quirky developments!
Michelle Babb continues to give voice and interpret the personalities faithfully to the written, and add even more!

Weighty Matters

Oh my, do we find ourselves in quite a bit of a mystery with this one! I loved the mystery solving while pregnant proving that you can do anything when you put your minds to it. This was a fun listen and the recipes at the end were great to listen to. I can’t wait to see what these two solve next!

another fun mystery

I've listened to a few books in the series and this is another fun one. author did a great job with the friendship of the main characters and narrator did a great job as well.

Weighty Matters is a fun listen that will have you laughing out loud . The characters are well rounded and fun. The plot was well crafted and keeps you listening.
Michelle Babb is an excellent narrator for this series. Her voice brings the characters to life . A fun listen that won't disappoint.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly say I enjoyed it very much. I've listened to several books about the ladies before and this story did not disappoint. With them around, even an innocent trip to the circus can turn into an adventure. Michelle Babb does her usual excellent job of bring the characters to life and making it a fully enjoyable, cozy listen.

Southern style circus whodunit

Weighty Matters is the 6th book in Until the Fat Ladies Sing Mystery series by Linda Kozar. Lovita and Sue Jan are the Super Sleuth Sisters who are often embroiled in adventure and danger as they track down killers in the small Texas town of Wachita. Both of the would-be private eyes are pregnant and forgetfulness or oversight is blamed on the babies hijacking their mom's brain cells. When the circus comes to town and someone is shot at right in front of their beauty salon, the gals are off and running in this humorous whodunit. Readers will fall in love with the quirky characters and with the twists to the plot will wonder how in the world things will turn out for all involved. Bodies keep showing up and the suspect list gets longer and longer. And if that doesn't beat all, there are Sasquatch sightings too. The author has included several recipes sounding quite unique with names like Sasquatch Cereal, Sasquash Casserole and Squirrel Sauce Picante. The audiobook was a delight to listen to, with Michelle Babb narrating. She does a great job of giving a unique voice to each of the characters, making for a pleasant audio experience. Plan on chuckling the whole way through this one!
