Resumen del Editor

When a drunk driver orphans 10 children, their plea to stay together sparks international news - and prompts a trust fund that attracts corrupt and abusive fostering.

“They’re not dead, are they?” The officer’s body visibly slumped as he delivered his final nod.

From that July day in 1968 on, the Morris family became the Morris orphans: 10 children who attracted nationwide attention, and a trust fund that didn’t bring out the best in those who fostered them. Kathi, the oldest, was only 17 when her parents were killed by a drunk driver. This is her story - behind the headlines - of when the Morris orphans only had their mutual loss and each other.

I wished you'd had the adoptive family you deserved to get. we are currently adopting a little girl in November of this year. to the author you are my parents age. please consider checking out Jw.org for answers to why injustice exists. I think you'll be surprised and want to know more. either way please know you'll see your parents again one day.

Heartbreaking but amazing and inspiring story

Such a gut wrenching and heartbreaking story of an unspeakable tragedy. Kathi did an amazing
of telling the story of her and her siblings. It was so well written that I could feel all of the emotions she must have felt throughout her story. I highly recommend this book as it is the real story of what happened to the 10 Morris children who became orphaned at the hands of a drunk driver who had multiple previous alcohol related charges against him.
