Challenging to praise without spoilers. Will try,

Have you ever had a meal that was so perfectly prepared, and seasoned, and presented, and paired that it tasted like a million dollars and left your tastebuds wanting even more? Listening to Warlord is a treat for the ears and the mind as every itch is eventually scratched in such satisfying ways. Post apocalyptic environment in modern day setting? Check. Detailed character backstories and development? Check. Aliens? Check. Mysteries to solve? Check. Natural sounding dialogue that flows with the current scene? Check. A female protagonist with a strong spine that never backs down? Check. Check. Add the excellent narration by Stacey Glemboski that effortlessly creates tension and anticipation without _sounding_ panicked or strained, and this auditory first course is served up proper and satisfying. I'm left more than fulfilled for the time being, but anxiously await my serving of Book 2. [Disclosure: I received this title for free and listened at 1.85x.]

Captivating Story of Survival and Exploration

I really enjoyed the character that Cameron developed into and the survival details and emotions displayed throughout the story. It reminded me of life’s real world exhilarating experiences and the wonders of SciFi.

The narrator was exceptional and brought to life all of the characters. She was a perfect fit for the main character.

I’m looking forward to where the story goes next. 👍
