Funnier than expected
I was expecting more of a historical fiction type of story, but the history was mostly background. This book was more of a romantic comedy with occasional references to Napoleon's hemorrhoids and the characters wearing fancy tack for military parades. All three readers were hilarious, portraying funny characters rather than caricatures.
So many horse puns!

I didn't know I needed this!
I was laughing so hard there were tears as I listened to this at work. Not at all what I expected and it's utterly charming!
