Amazing story!

This story was beautifully told and the author is impressively humble throughout. For a long time I was looking for a good autobiography and it’s safe to say I found not only that but my favorite book so far this year.

Deeply moving but not for the faint of heart

A moving biography of medical care in war torn countries across the globe, Dr Nott's biography is worthy of the listen. As an EMT I found the stories relatable but even my iron stomach struggled a few times with the given depictions.

I never knew the struggles of war doctors

I never fully understood the life of a war doctor until I read this book. i will forever look at the TV show m.a.s.h in a whole new way. Dr. Nott breaks down trauma surgery so that the layman would understand the complexity of putting war wounded people back together again.

What an incredible man Dr David Nott is. The beginning of the book starts off in short bits of sentences which was a little disconcerting.
However, I slowed down the speed and it was a marvellous listen. Highly recommended.
