Unconditional Love & Inspiration

This beautiful book is a love story in so many ways. The kind soul of the author pierced my heart and I walked his journey with him. Peety was Eric’s rescuer just when most needed and loving Peety through Eric’s words was easy. Peety like each rescue dog I have shared my life with hold dear places in our hearts forever. Peety has a place in my heart too as does Jake. This book will inspire you and hold you captive as you receive much enlightenment. Thank you Eric for you & Peety rescuing each other and sharing your journey.

very inspiring

I found this story so inspiring! As an animal lover, I expected the dog in the story to be my favorite part. That relationship was just a wonderful as anticipated. I was surprised and inspired by the way Eric's life was transformed by his adoption of a new lifestyle as well as his adoption of Peety. The way Eric and Peety inspired others and continue to be so, is what truly made this story 1 I would recommend.

Best book I've listened to in a long time

The author has a very easy to listen to voice, he's funny, he's real, and I quickly came to love him and Peety

Great story, great inspiration

This story of Eric and peety is so inspirational and familiar to me. 5 years ago I went vegan and with the help of my 2 dogs,parker and barrow, I am still doing great and weigh the same as when I was on the wrestling in high school. they are just shy of there 16th birthday and we still go on our 2-3 mile hike in the hills behind our house every day. in fact we haven't missed a hike since we started. it was really enjoyable to read about someone else's journey that was similar to my one. if you're sick of being unhealthy and overweight let this book be your inspiration to start your new life. I've been a chef for 40 years and I can vouch for the author, vegan food can be the most flavorful food you've ever eaten and you won't miss all those foods you think you can't live without. just check out the vegan chefs on YouTube, they're incredible and will inspire you down your new path.

This is such a wonderful and story of healing, and on so many fronts! When spirits connect anything is possible.

doggie and human story

This is a true story of a former obese man and his overweight dog he rescued. It is narrated by the author himself and I enjoyed listening to the book. It talks about nutrition, excercise and of course, the love of his dog who helped him through the journey. It does discuss alot of plant based diet, but it doesn't distract from the story.

Great Story- shame about outsourcing responsibity.

Eric's book tells an excellent story of personal renewal , but, I wished he would throw away the crutches. His constant desire or need, (whichever suits) to outsource resposibility to someone other than himself is annoying and a little dispiriting.

Everything Eric achieved was supported by a great Medical Practitioner but carried out by him. He read a book that he says helped (Bible) and took on extra responsibiliity (adopting a dog). Bottom line, he got good advice and used it welll.

Not really a dog story

I bought this because I thought it was a dog story, but it is really more of a health journey with a little dog. I found the author's story to be inspirational and enjoyed the pictures in the pdf. His transformation is miraculous - literally. However, some of the cooking details were tedious. I really didn't care about the author's vegan lifestyle. I wanted a dog story.

Oh my heart! How I love this book. Plus I eat plant based but I am surrounded by unhealthy overweight people in my life. I wish they would listen to this book and find the joy too!

Hitting bottom and reclaiming your life back.

Eric hit bottom but got control of his life. His story is so uplifting. It’s not your average I lost major weight and this is how I did it book.
I encourage anyone to read this book.
