The massive earthquake predicted for decades finally strikes along the Pacific Coast from Mexico to Alaska. California is decimated. Millions are trapped. Thousands flee to Nevada and Arizona to escape the destruction. James Hader is on a business trip in Belize. Blocked by the earthquake's destruction, he makes the decision to travel the length of a devastated Mexico to get to his preteen granddaughter trapped in Northern California. Fueled by fear, love, and desperation, James begins a journey filled with unimaginable hazards. Unknown to James, his granddaughter has survived the initial earthquake but must survive the horrors created by the catastrophic seismic event.
