Boyd Wright is not a typical hero. Five-eight, not six-five. Foul-mouthed. Slender, with teen idol looks, he is a confirmed physical coward. Boyd has spent his short life on the urban frontier in 21st Century America. The first eighteen years in an orphanage and the following decade among the occult nutcases in L.A. and Las Vegas. Until he reached puberty. Some weirdo gods, beings, wizards, whatever you call them, gifted him a few magical talents to rid Earth of parasitic visitors (the Others). Yeah, right. Boyd listened, took the talents, and then promptly forgot those fools and (the Others), who took over individual humans. Instead, without meaning to, he drifted into the hero business.

When a small Mississippi delta town has been taken over by crooked cops, the good citizens were not getting Dr. Strange or Batman or the Equalizer, just Boyd Wright, armed with a few gimmicks and sarcasm.
