In 2015, my husband and I became pilgrims by walking the Camino Frances. It was a journey that tested our bodies and our pain thresholds for thirty-five days. It brought us peace of mind though too, since we lived a simple life: walk, eat, sleep, repeat. But in between there was a whole lot of appreciation of each other, of our fellow pilgrims, the earthly beauty of Spain, the food, and the kindness of its people. We met a lot of characters and covered a lot of terrain - over 500 miles from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela. A little bit travelogue, a little bit personal memoir, join us as we walk through our aches and pains and mud and wind and heat to find the simplicity of just Walking Together and Taking Care of One Another.
