One last job. But Balum didn't want it. He was done being a US Deputy Marshal; done with the stress, the responsibility, and tired of getting shot at. All he wanted was to spend his money on gambling, whiskey, and women. He most certainly has no desire to grant Cafferty's final request. Babysitting a bunch of Eastern dandies across the plains to Oregon held no allure whatsoever. But when Balum finds out who is leading the expedition, and the fate of its members, he reconsiders. At least that's the reason he tells himself. It doesn't hurt that amongst the settlers are two of the most beautiful women he has ever laid eyes on. Into the West he rides. Into struggle, battle, and bullets. Into beatings with fists and the soft touch of women. And straight into the plans of a maniac, whose intentions are to take the wagons and all who travel with him directly to nowhere.

ai narration is not very good

it was a good story but lots of errors in the narration due to the ai screwing up pronunciations and sometimes the wrong emphasis.

Great storyline

While the storyline was awesome I do wish that audible would put a warning on their books when the content moves beyond typical western smut to flat out pornography. There is no storyline that needs to incorporate actual sex acts…. All of them into it to make a better story. I didn’t bother listening to the rest of the story and will not read this author again.
