This novel reminds me of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Would make an excellent movie.
Absolutely amazing! - Marion K.
REVIEW 2-
I loved her The Lost Key novel, but this one is just as good, if not better. The descriptions, scenery, characters. I cried at the end. Shocking ending. Looking forward to her next novel! - Sandra M.
LOGLINE-
In an effort to overcome her writer's block, aspiring author Clara Hawkins accepts a house-sitting job at the remote Blackwood Manor while the family is away. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious stranger named Henry shows up, introducing himself as a guest at the manor. As he gradually pulls her into a love story that she had previously regarded as mere fiction, Clara discovers a romance more remarkable than anything she could ever imagine.
SUMMARY-
1910, England. Clara Hawkins, an aspiring author, arrives at Blackwood Manor to take care of the house for the summer. Struggling to start her first novel, she desperately seeks inspiration- a one of a kind pilgrimage, a self-imposed exile in search of the elusive muse for her manuscript. During her stay, she meets the enigmatic and free-spirited Henry, who seems to be a guest there while the owners are away.
Clara finds herself utterly enchanted. Her heart, once a quiet chamber reserved for fictional characters brewing in her mind, now pounds with a very real, very potent desire. She feels irrevocably in love with Henry, a love as intoxicating as the summer wine and as vast as the manor itself. Every shared glance, every brush of hands, every whispered confidence cements their bond. The pages of her novel still remain stubbornly blank, but her life becomes a vivid, compelling story unfolding before her very eyes.
As days coalesce into the golden languor of late summer, and her connection with Henry grows impossibly strong, an unexpected event rips through her newfound happiness, shattering her world into a million jagged pieces. It isn't merely a revelation; it is an impossible truth, a chilling whisper from the very foundations of Blackwood Manor that reveal Henry's true nature, and the tragic, timeless secret he carries. It is at this very moment that she understands inspiration can truly emerge from the most surprising places, especially from the ones where spirits dwell.
Only then does she begin to write her debut novel – a story not only of love and loss, but of the unbreakable ties that bind the living to the spectral, and the profound, transformative power of true love. .
The novel is a Victorian drama romance, using 3D Guise genre, created by the author.
