What does Kat Marlowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like Kat as a narrator...I just dont know if I would have chosen her for this story...plus there weresom mispronouncing of words that could have been avoided...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Poor Rosie and her broken heart...

Rosie goes home to New Orleans after her mom goes missing, and learns she is a powerful witch..on her 27th birthday she gets a sweet surprise, a very special great dane pup...she is her guardian...an animal that is almost like a familiar a very magical dog...lots of things start happening that are very strange and Rosie learns the love of her life is cursed and she must try and save him...But not everyone can be trusted and he may be in a lot further than she thought...she needs help!!

Cliffhanger ending and a great little story...2 thumbs up!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Voodoo Vows?

Any scene with Rosie is infectious and so sweet and makes you smile and laugh out loud!

What about Kat Marlowe’s performance did you like?

Kat portrays the characters so well! Her voices and inflection and cadence are spot on.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Had a few laugh out loud moments and one or two bright eyes

I am now a huge fan of the series and Dianna Marie Dubois!

I tried but could not finish this one.It was way too juvenile and sappy for me.The narration was well done,if a bit overdone.I was given this book free for review.

Yes I have and I really think this is her best work. Teamed with the author she rocked this out of the ball park

both, This was a rollercoaster of ups and downs with just the right mix of happy and sad as well as intensity I loved this book

I can't compare it to any other book I haven't found anything like it!

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't say that I had a favorite scene it was all so well done that I can't pick just one scene. Kat Marlowe did such a wonderful job narrating and I always love listening to books she has narrated!!

Witchcraft and Voodoo oh my!

I really liked this book. The characters in the book were well written though I would like to know more about the witches. This is not my typical book, but I couldn't put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone. it is a good and easy read while it grabs your attention. Will be on the lookout for the 2nd book. The narrator did a really good jo, I have not heard of Kat Marlowe but will be on the lookout for miore books with her as narrator. Intense.... Steamy... Intriguing....

What other book might you compare Voodoo Vows to and why?

I hate comparing books, but I have yet to read or listen to anything similar to 'Voodoo Vows'.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favourite scene... hmmm this is hard I had a few... I think the cutest scene was when Rosie first found Little One, the instant bond they had was cute.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I am so bad at these..... Rosie's journey apon discovery....

I really enjoyed listening to what Kat did for this book, the different voices added to an already steamy, suspense filled, action packed story. My only problem is the ending... what a cliffhanger to end book 1 on.... CAN NOT wait to read/listen to book 2 & find out what happens next.

Great story

The narration really brings the characters and story to life. Can't wait for next one.

I was provided with a free copy of audio version of this book for a review. The story is about a young woman that just returned to NOLA after her mother's death. First she finds out she is a witch then she discovers that her boyfriend is cursed to become a monster at his 27 birthday.

I did not care for the book and would not have finished it if I had been reading. The story line seems to jump along skipping several months at a time without an indication. Leaving the reader to race to catch up. It jumps from scene to scene except for the sex scenes and they are 15 - 20 minutes long on the audio version.

The book ended in the middle of a major scene with TO BE CONTINUED. While that might make others buy the next book. It did not impress me. The author should have been able to add enough suspense to the ending to make people want to read her work. Not a TO BE CONTINUED statement.

Definitely will not read the author or the narrator and her fake accent in the future.
