Love this book. Very well balanced
Mitcham again tells the unfortunate but courageous story of a people tired of being taken advantage of by the North and who wanted to be left alone.
Not all northerners were barbarous, not all southerners were barbarous.
Mitcham again strikes an appropriate balance.

Not for beginners, but if you know a lot about the war between the states and want good first hand accounts this is for you.
