More Burroughs fun

First off, let me say that the stories presented here are, for the most part, representation of multiple novellas presented in the backs of the books of the Swords across infinity super arc books. If you read those, you have read probably 75% of this book. There is one additional adventure and new "Quantum Interludes" that act as story bridges between the novellas. I had hoped for more new material, but it was still a lot of fun.

Victory Harben is a fun character and placing her in the Earthly years of the 1940's-1950's works perfectly. Her manner, if the time period was any later, would seem overly campy. As is, it's kind of a weird mashup of The Maltese Falcon meets Rebel Without A Cause crossed with the 1960's Batman TV show. Told with a straight face but slightly over the top slang. I understand that they are considering an animated show about her. If that happens, I will gladly be tuning in.

You should pick up this book. It's a really good time.
