Great Book!

This book had such a great story. The narrator done a great job telling the story! Looking forward to listening to the next book by this author.

Sweet and fun tropical getaway

Vanishing Act is a wonderful strangers to lovers story set in the beauty of small town Hawaii.

The guy is a big time movie actor trying to get away from the limelight for a while. He wants to figure out what comes next for him career-wise and meets the most adorable dog (and his human). She has no clue who he is and that is refreshing for our hero. She's been sheltered and protected (a little too much so) by her father and just wants to get out there and live.

The narration by Thomas Locklear is wonderful. He does both POVs and as a result it's like a full cast audio play in my earbuds.

I enjoyed this tropical getaway very much.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Sweet Romance!

I enjoyed everything about this audiobook, from A.M. Madden’s wonderful writing style to the interesting story and characters she created to perfectly casted narrator and his fabulous performance. The story grabbed both my attention and my heart and captivated them straight to the end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to, I adored the leads, Landon and Zara as well as Marshmallow aka Spike. Landon Price, a well known actor, needs a break it all, against his agents wishes he decides to take a break from the public as soon as his most recent film finishes shooting. His agent wants him to ride on the publicity wave but he needs peace of mind more. He leaves his life behind, telling no one where he will be, in a remote area in Hawaii. He is enjoying the peace and seclusion the beach front cottage brings but when a little dog finds his way to him it brings him to someone else. Zara Jobert, originally from South Africa, her family left there after a tragic incident and her father thought it was safer for the family to leave, they made a new life for themselves in Hawaii. Zara’s over protective father prevented her from branching too far from home, she did not know a lot of what was going on outside her area. When she sees her dog has made a new friend, she has not seen a movie for years so she had no idea how Landon way, even so he was traveling under an alias to prevent any leaks to the paparazzi. He introduces himself as Lance White, the two hit is off right away. He loved that she did not know who he was, this way she could see him as a person not just a famous Hollywood actor. I thought these two were awesome together and for each other. This a sweet romance, two people from different worlds getting to know each other, living in her world is like living in a bubble in the 1980’s minimal technology but it is a great way for Landon to keep off the grid. But things change when she finds out who he really is, she is faced with having to make difficult choices, including one that may tear her family apart. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it nicely plotted with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some lighthearted and charming moments with Marshmallow, heartfelt moments and an awesome romance. A.M Madden thank you for this wonderful story.

Thomas Locklear is a fabulous narrator and versatile voice artist. He brings these characters to life, gives each their own distinct voice making it easier to follow the characters. He does a great job covering both male and female characters switching roles back and forth flawlessly and with ease. His portrayal of the characters was perfection, sounding just as I pictured them to sound, including Zara’s accent. You could hear how much heart he put into her work as he captures and projects the characters emotions in to his performance, He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

An amazing story I highly recommend!

While this is an amazing story I can completely *feel* for the female lead. It would be incredibly hard to be in her position. Because the media is ruthless and lives on rumors. She has to be strong and feel so self assured as well as have complete trust in her man. I love when her sister tells her to remember she will be sharing him with hundreds if not thousands of other people. That’s the truth there!

Besides this little hiccup into their lives each of the characters and the story is wonderful. He only wants to be seen as HIM not an actor. So he hides his popular self while on vacation. She lives in a internet free world and only sees him as a normal guy. But she is hiding a secret too. There is also this adorable little dog that made me smile every time he got page time. How can you not smile at a dog called “Marshmallow”? As secondary characters he is a prince! He almost outshined the two main characters.

I highly recommend this strangers to lovers romance. It is filled with surprises as well as memorable characters. I laughed and teared up but overall was thrilled with this lovely story.

I did listen to the gem on audio. Thomas Locklear is the narrator. This is a first time I’ve listened to him. He does a great job. I love his different accents or voice for the various people.

This was a fantastic slow burn romance with a lot of sexual chemistry between the characters. The storyline was wonderful and I loved the anticipation of what was going to happen. How long would their perfect world last?
The narration was absolutely amazing. Thomas Locklear is fantastic and in my opinion he is one of the best female voices by a male narrator out there.
This book has an HEA. I highly recommend this book.
