Love a good mystery!

I absolutely love this book! The mystery is well thought out with just enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested. It's fast-paced and has some surprising revelations. The moment you think you got it all figured out you are thrown for a loop. I love this kind of mystery. I also love all the characters; old and new. If you like a love story with a good mystery, this one is for you! And, as always, Liisa has done a great job narrating.

least favorite in the series

I think valentine's story was weak and it was prolonged. There was a point where they had the villan right there and just let him go because the heroine was scared for no reason whatsoever. Out of all the heroine and heroes in this series Valentine and Ava were the least likeable.

Has a few Twists and Turns

I like her books This book Has twists,intrigues and Very Hot lovin’. However this narrator is the type I don’t like she is too breathy and does not get the right emotional tone. That said I enjoyed Valentine’s story and moving on to the next one

Narrator ruins it

This story and the series is a pleasant diversion, with the characters and stories that are entertaining. This installment's heroine, however, is a bit annoying. She's so pushy and has a chip on her shoulder that makes her constant attempts to one-up the hero distracting and unattractive.

The biggest issue with the series, though, is the narrator. Her forceful and constant emphases within the sentences and overly enunciated language verges on the melodramatic. I managed to get through this story but I'm not sure I can take another novel with the same narrator.

Mystery, romance, friendship

Another intriguing story from Adele Clee. I’ve enjoyed all the stories in this series and yet again I couldn’t wait for the next time to listen to it. The characters of Lucius and Aveline were very engaging. Aveline was a member of the enlightened ladies’ group, as was Lucius’ mother. Lucius is a handsome man and nothing seems to phase him but Ava intrigues him. I loved their growing relationship. I also enjoyed the bond of friendship between the men. There are number of surprises that are gradually revealed and will keep you listening until the end. There was a little teaser for the next story about the last of the friends and I’m looking forward to that story. I thought the narrator read it well. She used different voices to bring the scenes to life.
