Thrilling Novel

I loved the gripping plot and character development. I look forward to the next book.

Loved all of the chapter quotes & narrator’s inflection!

The narrator did a great job painting the personalities character with his voice. The last half of the book I couldn’t stop listening to & wanted to find out what happened! In addition to the storyline, my favorite addition was the thought provoking quotes. Looking forward to the next book!

I drive a lot for my job. I’m normally a get in the car and turn on sports radio type. This book changed that. I’d skip my normal segments and replace them with these adventures. The book is great! Character development is well thought out. There are a good number of characters, so it takes some concentration getting to know them, but by the end of the book they are all a delight. The pace of the story is good. It isn’t too fast where you feel you’re missing information but it doesn’t drag and get boring. There is plenty of action, there is emotion, there is good versus evil. It is just a great book. 10/10 would recommend!

I hope to make history come alive like the author

I am a HS History teacher and part of my job is to make history come alive. That is what this book did for me (and I hope I do for my students).

I went into this book with little information about the story overall. I was very impressed with the story and how the author wove in a story and history together so seamlessly. I found myself smiling as I got to different parts of the history that I knew and enjoyed the nods. It felt like I was part of an inside jokes every time (I wouldn't say a vast history background is needed to enjoy the book, I just enjoyed when real history was used: Well done to the author for taking time and effort to research)

I really enjoyed getting to hear about the thought processes of the various characters (even the antagonist). Each character had different logical steps for their actions and it was fun to see how they came to their conclusions and how they executed their decisions. The book did a great job establishing the story early on and then just kept ramping up with each chapter.

The reader did a fantastic job. I really enjoy audio book format and have had some books been very difficult if the reader isn't on par. This reader nailed it! He did a great job of reading different characters in different voices and varying up the speed and emotion. Overall I was never wondering who was speaking as I listened.

I was very happy to hear this is part of a trilogy...so when is that next one coming out?
