Quite a long time ago, when the world was much younger, there was a little road where things happened, or maybe didn't happen, or were maybe just imagined. The houses are still there, but what were the stories behind the people living there and what became of them? Where are they now? What is the story behind the retired Mountie? And the girl who learned ballet behind the one-room school's outhouse? And what about the kid who always took his raincoat to school? And the kid with the BB gun? Never mind the house at the corner where the owner's wife walked directly into the path of his discharging rifle? The author created answers to these puzzles via a romp through anecdotes and short stories. What is real and what isn't? The reader must discern.
