She smiled in public. She wept in secret. She stayed… until she barely existed.

For years, Taryn lived in the shadows of her husband’s narcissistic control—trapped in a cycle of manipulation, emotional abuse, and spiritual gaslighting that slowly stripped her of her identity. On the outside, her life looked picture-perfect. Inside, she was quietly falling apart.

Until She Barely Existed is a raw, gripping novel that shines a light on the hidden world of narcissistic abuse and the quiet strength it takes to survive. Through Taryn’s journey—from love bombing and subtle control to devastating emotional breakdowns—listeners witness the slow unraveling of a woman fighting to hold onto her sanity, her family, and her faith.

But this is more than a story of survival. It’s a testament to resilience. As Taryn begins to find her voice again—with the help of unexpected friendships and inner courage—she steps onto the long, painful path toward freedom and healing. For anyone who has ever questioned their worth, felt invisible in their own life, or struggled to break free from a toxic relationship, this book offers both a mirror and a message: You are not alone, and your healing is possible.

This book follows the lives of several people who bond in group therapy. It shows the ups and downs of each of their lives. I especially liked the topics the discussed and applied from their group therapy. it was like I was member of the group as well.

This story will be one you can't stop playing or reading. The characters are accounts of different narcissistic abuses and not just women, men, too. This is a great book. I highly recommend it. The narrator does a great job of showing the emotions of the characters. I'm hooked.
