Amazing German audio drama
This is an amazing audio drama which takes place in New York at the end of the 1990s and begin of the 2000s. We have a young successful woman who moves up in the investment world. She meets a successful business man and falls in love with him, partly to move up. She learns that his business is not legal and a rollercoaster ride starts.
This is a mix of the movie Wall Street and Godfather. Mafia, Insidertrading, memorable moments which touched me deeply.
Please note that this audio drama is in German and that this is only part 1 of a two part audio drama. The first part sets up all the pieces and with the second part, the rollercoaster ride has reached its top and is ready to go to high speed.
The persons in this story are complex and I care about most of them. The villains are charming and competent and dangerous. There is love (complex and complicated).
Please also note that there are moments in this audio drama which might not be suited for younger listeners, including rape. That so touchy topics are also part of this audio drama and is put on the forefront of discussion is great (instead of hiding it).
In spite of that this audio drama takes around 20 hours (for both parts), it was never boring and it felt it passed much faster.
Overall a fantastic German audio drama.
