I like that there is not one boring moment. Excellent series!!! I'm getting them all!

Unforgiven

Ok so for whatever reason when I tried to listen to this book before I just couldn’t get into it. But then this week I re-listened to Justified for the 100th time and couldn’t not start book 2 for as much as I like book 1 I had to give this one another shot.

SO glad I did.

Kody struck me as someone who didn’t need anyone or anything but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. She is just hurting and confused with her emotions. Hill bring out the worst in Kody because of the feeling he makes her feel.

Once she is truthful to herself and to Hill things change for the better.
I still love the relationship she and Shot have. I am glad she had him.
That ending… Oh man so glad I have the next book ready to go.

Also can we take a moment to acknowledge the narrators and how amazing they are. Seriously Virginia Rose KILLS it in these books like I want more of her please. And Austin Stone … his voice is lush I swear.

There is headstrong and then there is stupid

The narration isn’t bad, but I’ve been mostly frustrated with the female main character throughout this book and I still have time left in the book. I’ll finish and I’ll keep the book. But it’s not the best Jay Crownover book I’ve ever read.

Great series and characters.

Just like the first book these characters are great. Wonderful story line and great narration!

The Best Cowboy Series!!

LOVED THIS!! I truly did not think she could top Case Lawton, but she did it with Hill Gamble!!

Kody Lawton is a complete and unpredictable firecracker!! A Lawton through and through! And boy does Kody have a past with Hill, very complicated for sure. As rough and tough as Kody can come across she has a soft center that really needs to be loved, but she’s shut it down. Only her brothers can really reach it. Her fiancé, Hill Gamble’s younger brother killed himself. He had an untreated mental illness and horrible parents, he tried but in the end he couldn’t do it anymore. Poor Kody has been through so much.

The Lawton family are AMAZING!! They grew up with a father who was a very dirty town sheriff and treated his wife and kids terribly. But their mother adored them and was always there for them, until she died from cancer when they were teenagers. Now they were left living with their nasty father. But they took care of each other, the three of them became tight and kept each other going. We really see the special relationship they have in this book. It was beautiful the way they took care of each other, very emotional.

Hill Gamble is that hard Marshall with a soft sweet center for Kody. He’s the kind of cowboy that we all dream about. He takes care of everyone, at the detriment of himself. But it’s Kody who he’s loved for years, before his brother fell for her. Hill suffered in silence, but couldn’t stop her.

This Western Romantic Suspense series is SO AWESOME and I am looking forward to reading the third and last book. I don’t want this to end.

The narration is AWESOME, especially the sexy voice of Aiden Stone, I love his voice!!!

so glad to finally grab and get to listen to this on audible! i very much enjoyed this performance as well. Austin Stone was a great voice for Gamble and Virginia Rose, as always did a great job!

Good book

Not the biggest romance fan ever but I like Jay Crownover's work. Realistic people and love-based sex.

Nooooooooo

I can’t wait till October for the next book. This book was so freaking amazing. I binged it in a day and a half because it was so fantastic and creative. Hill and kodys story is amazing and I am so sad I have to wait till October to have the next story
