This book was different, covering polyamory, open relationships, and more. Learning how the authors handled their relationships, emotions, and communication was interesting. She emphasized that those things were essential in those types of relationships. She stresses the importance of giving each person in the relationship equal attention, communicating your feelings if you are uncomfortable, anticipating pushback and feedback from traditional relationships, and understanding how to handle parents and children in such relationships. The alternative, unconventional lifestyle is different, but the author has a helpful guide to help you enjoy and sustain your relationship. We must all learn to embrace diversity. It is a valuable book for anyone new to polyamory or in an open relationship.
