Leaves you wanting more

I’m not normally one for a multi part book but this one is amazing! I absolutely loved it! I’m moving on to the next book to finish the story!

We need more of this!!!!

Yessssssss I love this series!!!!!! It’s great short reads but amazing plot! Can wait for more! I wish there was more mafia romances.

Great book 2!

This is the second book in the Valentino empire series and it did NOT disappoint! This book picks up right where the first book left us hanging thank goodness because I didn't want to miss a thing! I don't want to give any plot points away so I wont comment on the cliffhanger just know it was so good and I believe it sets off the journey of Holly really breaking out of her shell and becoming the true bad ass she has buried deep down. The actions of those around her kind of push Holly to explore how tough she can be and the reactions of those around her fuel that fire and help it grow. By mid book we still see glimmers of a nervous or unsure Holly in private but outwardly she is owning her role as Queen of the Valentino family and putting power to work! Its so good!
While I understand this is a work of fiction, to get to watch a female grow and come into her own with such grace is such a confidence boost to women! Holly might not always feel strong but the author is careful to never write her a a weak woman and even in her moments of weakness she shines with power and resilience and grace. Holly has been thrust into a dangerous world she knows nothing about but she isn't going to let that stop her!

The plot flows so smoothly from book 1 to book 2 that theirs no confusion or hangups an the editing and grammar are flawless creating a reading experience to rival all others. Nothing distracts from getting lost in Holly's world as she navigates where she fits and creates a thrown for herself!

This book is also available on audio and the narrators do a really good job of expressing the emotion of the book weather is be sadness or anger or passion.

Easy to follow

Keeps you sucked in and wanting more, you can’t just listen to one book you have to keep listening.

Unassuming Queen

This is the second 🎧book in this trilogy and it was good but not great. The reason it didn't get 5 stars its because of the narration, it should've been a duet narration! The storyline was good but some of the audio was messed up and in some of the parts it became repetitive and that gets old quick. Did I mention we have another bloody cliffhanger😑and for those reasons it didn't get a perfect scoring. Let's hope book#3 is better than the previous two. Is it worth the credit? Maybe a "Yes" if you want to know how this trilogy concludes...happy 🎧listening.

Amazing

I love love love this book and all the books in the set. The write has a talent that many do not, put that with 2 narrator’s that make the book come alive and you find yourself drawn into another world. Reality fades and your shadowing Theo and Holly and the rest of the characters.

Great narration, the story was disappointing

I really enjoy these narrators, which is one of the reasons I listened to the rest of this book. If the narration had been bad, I don't think I would have finished this.

I know this is book 2 of a trilogy, so I didn't expect anything to be resolved, which is fine. This story is very predictable. Every prediction I made early on happened. I don't understand the MMC. He went to the effort of faking his death only to be doing one stupid thing after another. While I appreciate a fast-paced story, this one just felt too rushed like they wanted to keep it within a certain word count.

This story was so short and really lacked the substance I was hoping to get. Sometimes authors rush in to establish a relationship and then things slow down a bit and I can connect more with characters. This book felt like it moved faster, and I completely lost the connection. I'm not certain that I care enough to spend another credit on this series.
