Some days it doesn’t pay to get out of bed.
Two Bodies One Grave was my introduction to both authors and the Bullet Books Speed Read series. I got the book as a free purchase on Amazon so I figured why not, the title sounded interesting, and I’ve been reading some Noir crime stories lately so hey what could it hurt. I added the virtual voice audiobook and settled in to listen to the story.
The story had plenty of action, some interesting characters, however there were times Knucks seemed a bit dense for a hit man. Overall, it was entertaining and was as advertised a speed read. In reviewing my library, I have a few more books in this series, acquired through free amazon promotions, so I will be checking them out when I need a quick read to fill some inactive time. I won’t be adding virtual voice audiobooks to the rest of the stories in this series.
Virtual voice in some instances is not too bad, however when you have a variety of characters of different genders, several of whom should have pronounced accents it really wasn’t as effective as it might have been.
