Eve langlais knocked another one out of the park!
Everytime I want to escape reality any book written by this author seems to hit the spot for me. This book and series has me itching for the next release. I love the independent females with thier sass and humor that tend to be the hero. never a dull moment. Thank you for creating a world to enjoy.

It’s like six degrees of Kevin Bacon
“Could be your next body is a vacuum.”
I liked this couple best so far, mainly because Riella is a force to be reckoned with. Titan is the weaker link, especially when he spends so much time pouting about her getting one (or two or three) over on him and not needing rescue. Good thing there’s more humor in this installment, courtesy of a crusty machine. The sex is also a tad spicier, but still on the tame end of the author’s spectrum.
On the one hand, each book overlaps with the next. On the other hand, the previous book’s couple and previous settings hardly figure in. Remember Laura and Axel from book 1? They’re just mentioned. Gunner and Sofia from book 2? Other than recapping events, they don’t do anything new here.
Once again the focus is on the current couple, and adding some interactions with future MCs. The series arc about the dystopian world and authoritarian societies, and the Haven society’s quest for a new home, get mostly lip service, and the one-note villains continue to be just a device to bring the couple together … so they can dispatch said villain in a single move. Which is all fine as long as these are Audible Plus freebies, or bargained together in three-book collections.
