If you have not read/listened to Pretty Little Island then whatever you do, do not read/listen toTwice Love Burned until you do. This book gives us more insight to the secrects held between Micah and Maison that London was trying to discover. The relationship between the twins and Olivia was messed up and ended in tragedy. Twice Love Burned is told from Micah's POV and was very much needed after Pretty Little Island. Can I also just say Caden as the narrator for Micha was amazing!

Just Wow!

This story isn't long but it's impact is huge!! Knowing the backstory with Olivia helped put so much of Book 1 into context.

Tragic Origin Story

This novella takes you into the origins story of the twin brothers in the first book. I am glad to have gotten the chance to peek inside the mind of one of the twins and find out how things played out in their past prior to book 1. It was insightful but carried just as much tragedy and devastation as book 1. But now you can feel how the pain that unfolded in this prequel bleeds into the rest of the series. Can’t wait for book 3!

The plot thickens…👀

This was such an amazing backstory to the events that lead up to the first book. You get further insight on Maison and not only his internal monologue, but his relationships with his twin brother and Olivia. Something that seems like a one off situation, turns into a long stream of messy decisions that seems like it’s unable to be stopped.

The back story.

So we hate her right? I loved hearing the backstory of the twins, and the dynamic that was created. We all agree right? We hate her.

This is a prequel novella that should be read after reading Pretty Little Island. This book is based around the Twins Micah and Maison and what actually happened with Olivia.

You should not read this book without first reading Pretty Little Island!

My original rating for the ebook for Twice Loved Burned is 4 stars with a spice rating of 2. This rating was based solely on the story. I have a hard time rating novella’s over 3 stars so this is actually a high rating for me.

I do think you can have a completely different reading experience with an audio more than the ebook or physical and vice versa.

My audiobook rating is based off the performance of the narrator and how they added to the overall experience of the story progression.

Caden Hart’s portrayal of Micah and Maison is perfect. I can’t picture anyone else doing them justice after listening to this audio. I loved how he brought the story to life. Rhea’s writing is brilliant and Caden really brought out the best parts of TLB.

The whole entire scene of what happened to Olivia was so much more dramatic and intense listening to it on audio. I felt more emotion off of Micah listening to that entire scene.

I would HIGHLY recommend listening to TLB on audio.

if you thought you knew the twins before in Pretty Little Island, you thought wrong. Twice Love Burned gives us insight into the past and why they act the way they do. A wonderful book tied into the Love Bone series. I highly recommend.

Poor Micah

This story just revealed how truly cruel everyone is to Micah and he deserves none of it! He just wants to be loved for once and be first choice 😭 Book 1 made Olivia seem like the poor girl that ended up being used by both twins but in reality she was behind everything and didn’t let Micah walk away and now he had to regret that for the rest of his life.
