Resumen del Editor

Twelfth Knight is a retelling of Shakespeare's classic romantic comedy with a fresh, modern twist!

Where there’s love, there’s misery.

Violet Noble loves a good challenge. That’s why her parents were so insistent on getting her and her twin brother Sebastian a scholarship to Shelfbrooke Academy. But when Sebastian bails on the plan, Violet is left alone in a strange land of rich kids and hot rugby players.

When Violet discovers the academy’s online gossip forum, she finds the courage to comment...under her brother’s profile. Before she knows it, she's giving dating advice to the captain of the rugby team Owen Duke and flirting with his beautiful ex-girlfriend Lily Thorn.

Now, Violet is falling for Owen, and Lily is falling for fake-Sebastian, and everyone is miserable. Can Violet clean up the mess she’s made...and, somehow, keep her new friends in the process?

A retelling of the classic Shakespearean play, Twelfth Knight is a novel in the Shelfbrooke Academy series, a collection of retellings that promise to be a lot more fun than the originals. Enroll at Shelfbrooke Academy today!

Interesting take on Shakespear

Very interesting take on a rarely performed Shakespeare play. All the major pieces were there -- brother and sister twins from a less-wealthy background, an exclusive high school as the enemy country, a lovelorn rugby-playing hero, a sister hiding behind social media pretending to be her brother (who also plays rugby but decided at the last minute not to attend the school--hence the separation). a sad "princess" who refuses the school hero and falls for the masquerading "brother" she has never met, even Sir Toby makes a brief (potentially sinister) appearance as the resident geek. The narrator has a nice vocal quality and did fairly well in spite of several mispronounced words (cringe). In addition, because the story relied on multiple POVs, a bit more differentiation in the character voices would have been helpful. Overall, a very fun listen. I received a free review copy of the audio book but the opinions expressed are my own.

A Fun, Unique Take on a Classic!

I love modern twists on classic tales. In this rendition of the story Viola’s brother decided not to accept their scholarship to boarding school, last minute. Unfortunately, there is a mix-up and Viola is left with her brother’s dorm and his knight watch account.
To the real world Viola seems innocuous and unassuming. Online, she can be brave under the guise of being her brother.
This was a fun and creative take on a unique classic. What would you do to change the culture around you, if you could lower the stakes by wearing persona of someone else?
The narrator did an excellent job!

Irritating Plot, Annoying Narrator

What was that ?? seriously, what was that ?
the story is based on the twelfth night, which is one of my favorite classics ever, but this takes a twisty and bitchy take of the story
So we meet violate and in her first day of school she gets assigned to her brothers room, and she finds this cute guy Owen who is in love with Lily (his girlfriend) .. so, Lily doesn't want Owen but Owen wants her .. and then Violate wants Owen.. what does she do ? she pretends to be her brother online and seduces Lily into loving her persona all the while bitching around with Owen !! are trying to tell me this is a GOOD PERSON ? .. I have soo many issues with this but I don't have the energy to talk about it .. this was just a mess
and the love of god, FIX THE MIC STAND, the narrator keeps hitting the mic and my ears are drumming, her voice is whispered and she barely performed, not worth the credit
