Ronald Walker arrived in Tucson in 1976 as a young man to make his life. His experiences tell the story of what Tucson was really like during the late 20th Century, and the struggles and challenges he had working mundane and menial jobs, then returning to college, and finally achieving a fascinating career in broadcast television.
His stories include his attempts at finding places to live, making friends, finding love, and then eventually creating a decent and honorable life after so many ordeals and hardships. He describes in detail what it was like to explore the vibrant and energetic Tucson music scene first hand, not only as an audience member but by playing in his own Rock bands as well. He explores Rocky Point and the entire coastline of Sonora in great detail, as well as his experiences traveling to Hawaii and Alaska.
