Felt Too Real at Times

This book did that slow, unsettling thing where you don’t realize how deep you’re in until you’re already questioning everything. If you like psychological thrillers that feel uncomfortably close to reality, especially ones dealing with surveillance, memory, and manufactured truth, this is worth the listen.

A cool new series

This is a great beginning to what looks like a very exciting series. The plot is simple: a man finds a secret he shouldn't have, and now he has to survive. What makes it special is the world of crisis fixing and how easy it is to hide the truth from the public. Caleb is a smart character, and I liked seeing him figure out the mystery piece by piece. The pacing is perfect, with enough action to keep things moving and enough mystery to keep you thinking. I’m definitely going to listen to book two.

A thriller that really gets under your skin

This one pulled me in fast and kept that tension tight the whole way through. The atmosphere feels heavy in the best way, like something is always just slightly off, and it makes you want to keep listening to figure out what is really going on. I liked how the main character is forced to question everything, including himself, which adds a deeper layer beyond just the suspense. By the end, it left me thinking about how fragile truth can be and how easily it can be shaped. Definitely one that sticks with you after it’s over.

Suspenseful, Unsettling, and Too Close to Reality

I think we're all aware of the huge place our society has given media, especially social media, in shaping, even scripting, our cultural reality. I'm betting most also would say it's hard to know truth from falsehood amid information overload. "Truth" reminded me how easily we can succumb to psychological manipulation, especially as children like 14 year old Juniper as the book ends. It reminded me that not many will believe the truth or take time to investigate. I'm glad I listened to this book. I'm grateful for the real world Calebs who fight to defend truth. I highly recommend Truth as a thriller and study in mind control. This book does not disappoint!
