Would you listen to Trouble in Paradise again? Why?

This is a short story as a preview and to keep you up to date with the series. Clever of Ms Clark to keep you enticed for new book Killer Ambition, 15 min sample, or in my case encourage me to buy all the books in the series.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

This short story shows off how well the author can write. It's not the best of subjects, but you can see how the author leads you to the next adventure.

What does January LaVoy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I am a new fan of Ms LaVoy, maybe 10 reads, and none disappoint. Her full range of voice characters are great. Her male voice for hero's is becoming yummy. She portrays both Rachel and Bailey very well and makes this series.

You need to see Marcia on the Stephanie Miller Show. Love all of Marcia books. More books More, books please. Also love January's voice.

Outstanding storyline and characters

Where does Trouble in Paradise rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It has to be in my top five of audiobooks that I have listened to.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well obviously it was Rachael Knight. Her character is tough but also very mysterious as well.

What about January LaVoy’s performance did you like?

She has a great voice and she can do multiple voice overs of various characters amazingly.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Just the whole book caught my attention.

Same characters, but not much story.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yeah, it was pleasant. Not very captivating though.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting aspect is the same characters that I love. The least interesting is the plot. This is one of those novellas, that take only a couple of hours (if that). There just isn't much story development.

Have you listened to any of January LaVoy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She's terrific. Does a good job differentiating the voices.

Love Clark's writing. Just not enough of it here.

Short story

It's a good story but short I was expecting more meat it was like climaxing before your ready.

Fortune teller feud in Aruba!

This novella is my first book by Marcia Clark. I was not expecting much so I am surprised by this cute little detective story. Narration is excellent.
