Materialist world has seen many scams in the last few centuries. The lust for money has often corrupted the most able-minded people. When we mention the word scam, the image of a vile politician comes into our mind. This book is not about any political scam. This book is designed to expose the mostly deadly scams in the history of mankind. The fun part is that these scams are so beautifully disguised that most of us don’t even understand it. Why? This is because we believe. We believe that they are working for our well-being. They will never cheat us. But, we all have been fooled. Former Director of Eli Lilly &Co Dr. John Rengen Virapen confessed, “I have spent 35 years of my life working in an industry (pharmaceutical) and they do nothing but annihilate the population of this world. Why do they do that? Because they want to make Money, Money, Money, Money, Money. They don’t care about your lives. They only care about their wallets. Whatever I am saying today is not something that I have observed somewhere. It’s something that I have done myself. I have been just as criminal as they are. Pharmaceutical companies tell everybody that you are sick.” When we are sick, we need health experts called doctors. Doctors were always considered as the healers. We believe in our doctor. Without belief, doctor-patient relationship cannot have the trust it needs. Both Doctors and patients act out of good faith. But as the materialistic world took over, things have slowly changed. Doctors are now totally dependent on their information from the pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceuticals have played and evolved very smartly. They have become like the fast food chains for all kinds of sicknesses. For every ill, they have a pill. And as a fast-moving consumer, we like the quick fixes. Take a pill and you are good to go. This is a good business for both consumers and manufacturers. We as consumers act purely out of good faith. We trust our doctors to be caregivers during sickness. Doctors, in turn, trust the pharmaceuticals, to provide them with best and latest in the field of research. This is the only B2C model where someone else (usually a doctor), takes the purchasing decision on consumer’s behalf. Doctors are human and can easily be influenced. You must have seen reports of doctors overdosing their patients just for some extra kickbacks from pharma representatives. We as a generation may pat our back for being the most health-conscious generation of all. We can be upbeat about the fact that we are the generation with the longest life expectancy. But can we say with confidence that we are also the healthiest generation? I believe, we cannot. Why? Because despite all the health measures in place, we fall sick more often than not. Millions are dying of fatal diseases. New diseases are being discovered every now and then. We are constantly living under a threat of new superbug which might be discovered in the future. Millions of us are dying every year due to diseases. Sicknesses have now reached a new level. We are not only sick bodily but also mentally. Depression is now a global problem. Can we consider ourselves healthy or are we being deceived?
