As an afterthought, he instructed the machines to raise the colony’s only surviving resident, a baby destined to grow up on an abandoned moonbase with computers as his only companions. In the first book of the Tranquility series, we find young Grey facing daunting challenges including the enmity of his nemesis, the Security Computer, and the Machiavellian schemes of his guardian, the Life Support Computer. A mere pawn in the plans of the machines, Grey gradually discovers the far reaching goals of his computer masters. Must he surrender Tranquility’s future to the schemes of their dead creator, or will he find a way to prevail over their ambitions?
