Resumen del Editor

Nathan died in the summer before his final year in high school, leaving behind a mother who was devoted to him and a girlfriend he loved. His mother and his girlfriend, Emma, are still alive; Nathan is not. But he wakes in his room—or in the shrine his mother’s made of his room—confused, cold, and unable to interact with anyone or anything he sees. The only clear memory he has is a dream of a shining city, and its glorious queen, but the dream fades, until he once again meets Emma—by the side of his own grave.

Nathan wants life. He wants Emma. He wants warmth, sensation, a sleep that doesn’t leave him confused and aching.

But the cost, to Emma, will be incalculably high—because Emma just might be able to give him what he wants.

An Excellent Addition

WOW!! I have to say that even though this is a YA book it's excellently written. Sagara masterfully manipulates your emotions to match that of her characters. I love a book that can make me "FEEL" exactly what the characters are feeling. To my mind it's a sign of excellence. Here's the downside, there is a lot of grief in both of these books, so prepare yourself for that.
Emma has a lot to face in this book. Her beloved Nathan is returned to her, but it's not the gift she thought it was, her mother brings home a boyfriend, and most of all, the danger quotient has gone way up. Emma's friends and her Dad have her back though. Adam's narration is excellent with the caveat that with his deep voice it makes doing a teenaged female voice difficult so give him a break there.
I can honestly recommend this book to all audiences. Worth the credit or cash.

narration ruins the book

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I loved the first book; but, the narrator ruins the second book. I had to keep trying to focus on what the book was saying instead of being annoyed by the narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

The story continues on character development. I enjoyed learning more about how the characters interacted with new situations.

Could you see Touch being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

The series would be ideal as a new TV series for young adults

Great story, not so great narration.

The story itself is very engaging if you can get past the narrator's voice for the female characters. It is pretty cringy to hear him try to soften his voice for each, and I just skipped when two of the girls were having a conversation.

Horrible Narration

I really enjoyed book 1 of this series and was looking forward book 2 - I tried, really, I tried but the narration was so bad that I returned the title. The gentleman's voice for the male characters was nice enough, but when he attempted female voices, it was not only annoying, it was insulting. All of them, whether teenager or adult sounded like idiots. Apologies should be given to the author and a new narrator hired to republish the audio version.
