I thought I could escape my problems by running to the mountains with nothing but a sleeping bag and a dream to escape everything I had left behind. Instead, I end up lost and way over my head. When I find Aubrey lost and out of her depth, I have no choice but to take her in. Now my communication device is broken, and she won’t stop talking, smiling, or trying to "help." It’s infuriating—and worse, it’s working.
The more time we spend in this cramped tower, the harder it is to resist her relentless sunshine personality. I might’ve saved her life, but she’s the one breaking down all my walls.
