Artfully written and read!
The author (and narrator) has artfully brought his incredible father to life in a masterful work of historical fiction that accurately tracks his father's journey from an impoverished farm boy to a Midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, then from serving as a gifted professor through an exciting and page-turning account of WWII battles in the Pacific theater, and finally through his post-war career and life afterward.
