A human who’s taught powers that’s sent to protect students at a school? But they also need to recruit a few ?

But then someone they thought they knew came and attacked the school in which they were protecting . With confused emotions , of betrayal Tobias felt the need to seek out this person but also to do more protection for those who he was sent to protect .

A lot of chaos emerges, students wanting to learn the magic and wanting to know why they can’t use it however they want , a person you can kind of call a headmistress but not really (she’s in charge of the mages ), she’s got a huge attitude problem with people questioning her including the students .

In the end the question really is , does Tobias find who he’s looking for ? Does he get the answers? Or does he find the group that persons in and get more than expected? Or does he remain with his best friend the Mage in charge and his new friend Odien?

Or could it be that there’s a mixture in between? The heart can be confusing but, loyalty is a test.

I truly think this is a good book for teens . The only thing I didn’t like was how it ended. I do hope there’s another book because I did enjoy it. I am 37 and enjoyed it and will be letting my teen listen to it when I can .

Also the narrator was good but there were times when he spoke slightly fast for me or low (and that’s saying something since I’m okay with decent paced ). Other than that the narrator was okay (he reminded me of Sheldon in a way from the Big Bang theory which made me laugh at times ). I think he was a good pick for the book , he just could use a little tweaks . He’s much better than AI . Those voices bug me .

Fantasy

Tobias by Denis James is a great wizardry fantasy. Teddy Fischer did a great job with the narration. Tobias is the first book in The Arcane Rebellion series. The story is entertaining, interesting, exciting, and more.

Excuse You?!

The cliffhanger!!!! I NEED book 2 NOW! This was very well done but, I'm frustrated waiting for the second book. Thankfully the paper copy for Book 2 comes out this weekend.

Enjoyable

Even though this is geared towards teens I thoroughly enjoyed this Magical world and I am a senior. It is refreshing to not have the profanity that is usually present in stories these days.

I thought Teddy Fischer did a fine job narrating and will enjoy listening to future books from him.

It ends on a cliff hanger so be prepared for that although the 2nd book has already been written / recorded and I am looking forward to following this wonderful cast of characters to see what happens next.
